Amangalla is a 5 star hotel built inside the facilities of the Galle Fort, a Dutch Fort of s. XVII proclaimed World Heritage site by UNESCO. Built in 1684 to house the Dutch Governor and his staff, it has thick stone walls 1 meter thickness and high ceilings in some rooms, which reach a height of 6 meters. To turn it into hotel sought to keep all its essence and its atmosphere of period, wooden floors and antiques that were.
