Early in the morning, we depart for Manyara National Park, which we will reach after a 1.5-hour drive.
Safari in Manyara Park. Picnic lunch at the park tables in front of the lake.
Manyara is quite different from the rest of the Tanzanian reserves; it is covered with forests and bushes, which requires sharp eyesight to spot animals, including tree-climbing lions. Its alkaline and shallow lake is often home to birds such as pink flamingos, herons, cranes, etc., as well as a notable population of hippos that snort while semi-submerged in the water.
Around 5 in the evening, we depart for Karatu, arriving about 40 minutes later.
Dinner and accommodation.
