Travel to the base of Mount Meru to visit a local village of the Wa Arusha tribe. The Wa Arusha, cousins of the Maasai, share certain lifestyle and customs with the Maasai people, but unlike them, they are primarily an agricultural community, growing coffee and bananas. The visit to this community includes a tour of local homes, a church, and a school. You also have the opportunity to see some of the farming techniques and perhaps try mbege, a local beer made from millet and bananas.
