Arenatours was born from a travel to the Maldives, inspired by the dream of bringing paradise closer to the world. Our motto: “Paradise in Your Hands“.
Our founders, Oskar Yarza, a relentless entrepreneur, and Davide Galimberti, a Maldives expert with extensive experience in luxury travel management, combined their skills to create Spain’s first Maldives travel specialist agency.
With an innovative business model focused entirely on customer satisfaction, we offer tailor-made travel experiences. Every resort detail is meticulously curated to help our clients choose the perfect island for their dream holiday.
Our Growth
2006
Establishment of Arenatours in Madrid as a travel agency specialising in the Maldives and Sri Lanka combination trips.
2008
Obtained a Wholesale Travel Agency license (CICMA 2129) and IATA accreditation for flight ticket issuance.
2011
Signed strategic partnerships with Qatar Airways and Emirates, securing exclusive tour operator rates and introducing Doha and Dubai as stopovers for Maldives travel. A year later, Turkish Airlines joined as a partner, adding Istanbul as another gateway.
2013
Expansion into Italy, followed by Portugal, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and the Maldives, solidifying our position in the European market.
2015
Due to increasing demand from repeat travellers, we expanded our operations to Seychelles, India, and Japan, later extending to East Africa, while maintaining our core expertise in the Maldives.
2016
Officially recognised by the Ministry of Tourism of the Maldives as a Maldives travel specialist agency, actively participating in international tourism fairs under the official Maldives tourism board.
2018
Awarded Best Specialist Travel Agency by the Maldives Ministry of Tourism and the Golden Star of Excellence from the Institute for Professional Excellence.
2022
Organisational restructuring to maximise professionalism in our booking team, increasing staff presence in the Maldives for on-site assistance.
2023
Following our consolidation as the leading Maldives travel specialist agency during the pandemic, competitors emerged, attempting to replicate our model.
2025
Honoured with the Best Travel Agents Award by AON at the prestigious Hosteltur Travel Agent Gala.
