In the morning, departure for Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam in the 10th century. The “inland Halong Bay” is situated in a flat valley surrounded by limestone mountains, forming a natural wall that protects the ancient citadel. Upon arrival, we visit the temples of the Dinh and Le Emperors. These two temples bear Chinese influences and were built in the 17th century.

In the afternoon, a bike ride along scenic paths amidst beautiful rice fields to Bich Dong Pagoda, built in the early Le dynasty. Afterwards, we head to Thung Nang pier to embark on a sampan for a spectacular 2-hour journey through a cave and stunning rural landscapes of limestone cliffs and rice fields.
Under the expert guidance of local artisans, you will learn the techniques and secrets to create your own paper lantern, an iconic and meaningful symbol in Vietnamese culture.
